"Finding Refuge"
"Finding Refuge" is an exhibition proposal for a traveling experience that would be both a place for Syrian refugees to find a space that feels like home and somewhere for communities that host large refugee populations to learn more about Syrian cultural heritage. The "Finding Refuge" would be an expandable trailer, designed to look like a portion of a Syrian courtyard home, that preserves and displays artifacts rescued from potential destruction, and serves traditional drink and snacks. This space would offer refuge for displaced people living in foreign cultures and offer refuge for the art and historical artifacts facing certain destruction by remaining in an active war zone.
The proposal includes graphic identity; construction, spacial layout, and lighting placement drawings; renderings of the space; and a 3D model of the trailer interior.
